Materials Testing Modules

Kammrath and Weiss offer a wide range of materials testing tools for your SEM and other systems. Static and dynamic observations of changes under tensile and compressive load, crack growth, delamination phenomena, and formation of slip regions are just some of the tests and observations that can be performed. Systems can use a wide range of loads and temperature conditions.

Tensile & Compression Modules

•    One system for all kinds of materials and load ranges.
•    Good for specimens 30 to 60 mm in length, 10 mm wide, and 4 mm high.
•    Heating and cooling options available.
•    Computer-controlled microprocessor unit with extensive software package available.
•    EBSD compatible.

Fiber Tensile Modules

•    Enables fiber tensile tests at extremely low forces and very fine force resolution.
•    Tensile speeds allow very targeted strain tests (0.1 to 20 µm/s).
•    In-situ observation at magnifications of over 10,000 x is easily possible.

Micro Tensile Modules

•    Designed for mechanical loading on small and very small solids.
•    Piezo-controlled gripping mechanism.
•    Can be modified for use under the light microscope.

CT-Tensile Modules

•    For tensile/compression work in tomography devices.
•    For tomographic measurement, only the specimen is rotated.
•    Tensile and compression with bending and torsion testing available.
•    Includes adapter for mounting on z-stage of tomography station.

Bending Modules

•    In-Situ experiments in SEM, Light Microscopy, and Gloveboxes.
•    Deformation device, suitable for work under vacuum in SEM or Atomic Force Microscopy.
•    Adjustable speed range from 0.2 -20 μm/sec.
•    Allows 3-point or 4-point bending tests.
•    Display of specimens in sectional view.

Creep & Shear Modules

•    Designed for all samples, from small to large, hard or soft.
•    Excellent for mechanical testing of printed circuit boards (PCB´s).
•    Adaptable for a range of requirements of various measurement methods.
