Investigations in these areas are handled by Andrew W. Blackwood, Ph.D., and are done under his direction and control Vice President, Technical. Dr. Blackwood's experience in materials characterization and failure analysis has touched on virtually every area of materials science. Our laboratories include complete metallographic sample preparation capability as well as analysts experienced in the application of TEM, SEM and light microscopy to almost any materials system. And when other analytical techniques are required, be it chemistry, or surface analysis, or even some of the newly emerging scanning probe microscopies, our staff collectively has had experience with all of them when applied to metallurgical systems.

Although we are set up to handle virtually all metallurgical samples, we" do not, however, handle radioactive samples.
