Client Demographics

Our clients come from a worldwide audience, ranging from giant global sized organization to small businesses

Industry

Structure Probe's clients come primarily from the United States including the USA subsidiaries of foreign owned firms headquartered in other countries. A growing amount of analytical services business is coming directly from foreign clients having either "disputes" in US courts of law or as part of the process of applying for patents in the U. S. Office of Patents and Trademarks.

Structure Probe's technical people have given countless depositions and have testified at numerous proceedings before various courts of law.

Government

Structure Probe, Inc. is always ready and willing to do work for governments at any level, either the U. S.Government or foreign governments. Nondisclosure agreements would be readily executed and our technical staff members would be available to travel anywhere in the world to discuss prospective work, current work, or past work, charging only the standard daily fee in effect at that time for that particular level of employee plus reasonable travel (coach class), hotel, meal, and other related expenses.

Structure Probe, Inc. is classified as a small business for the purposes of federal contracting programs for small businesses.

Academia

Structure Probe has a history of working closely with faculty members (and sometimes students) who either have funding for the procurement of outside analytical services or who are in the proposal writing phase and are seeking to budget for analytical services of the type offered by Structure Probe, Inc.

Generally speaking, but not always, the time tables and turnaround times are on a more leisurely basis than other clients, making it possible, in some instances, for a more attractive rate structure. We are also aware of the need for interaction with graduate students in such situations and with proper advanced planning, additional fees for such interactions can be avoided.

Because of the large number of years of experience solving problems for others, Structure Probe's technical people are often times able to enhance a proposal by including innovative approaches that really do make the proposal stand out in ways not otherwise possible. Time spent giving such proposal writing assistance is done without charge, on the speculative hope that our client will ultimately be successful and that Structure Probe will benefit at the time samples for analysis are eventually submitted to the laboratory.

Independent Laboratories (and individual consultants and professionals)

During the thirty five years since our founding in 1970, Structure Probe, Inc. either has been or remains today, a corporate member in a number of business and professional organizations. Our longest professional involvement has been with A2LA, the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation. We have also been active members in the past in ACIL, the American Council of Independent Laboratories, and also ILAC, Independent Laboratories Assurance Company, an insurance company specializing in underwriting the professional liability risk of independent testing and analytical laboratories.

Charles A. Garber, Ph.D., President and founder of Structure Probe, Inc. has been a long time member of the Association of Consulting Chemists and Chemical Engineers, Inc.(ACC&CE), based in New York. The ACC&CE consists of approximately 200 consultants in the chemical engineering, chemistry, and related sciences. For further information about ACC&CE send your request by e-mail or by FAX at (212)-983-3161.

As a result of this long term association with some of the best known consultants in chemistry and chemical engineering, quite an impressive list of such consultants rely on Structure Probe exclusively for the conduct of their needed electron microscopy and surface analysis work. And Structure Probe has developed a keen sensitivity not only for the need to protect the confidentiality of the work being done but also to show sensitivity for the client relationship with the consultant bringing the work to Structure Probe, Inc.

Also, in the regular conduct of laboratory work by Structure Probe for regular clients, there is often the need to employ outside consultants when the requirements for special experience and/or training should arise. Having ready access to some of the finest chemical consultants in the world enables Structure Probe to provide for its clients the very highest quality of professional service.
