BioMinus Grids: Hydrophilic, negative charge grid; 50 x 50µm 25nm thickness; Pack of 10
BioMinus Grids are hydrophilic SMART Grids with negative surface charge that promote non-specific electrostatic bonding to biomolecules. BioMinus Grids can be used to adsorb antibodies, proteins, and various other species through a carboxylate-modified surface. Positive partial surface charge from primary amines such as lysine on biomolecules show an affinity for the BioMinus grids. Samples prepared with BioMinus Grids show a good distribution of biomolecules with random orientation across the entire grid surface. The BioMinus Grids can also be blocked after sample deposition. BioMinus Grids easily accept positive and negative stains due to their hydrophilic surface. The 25 nm SiO2 membranes provide low background for imaging.
