KnoxFog (Patent pending 2016, FDA approved 2016) is an antifog agent that is producing a lasting optical anti-fog applications on different, multiple sized lenses (endoscopes, microscopes, loupes, etc.). KnoxFog is non-toxic, and contains no parabens, alcohols, cancerinogens, canceronogens, or neuritis. It is removable when cleaning/srcubbing/recycling faceshields, goggles, and medical lenses to eliminate microbial contamination. KnoxFog sterile and has anti-microbial properties through a new proprietary technology. It doubles up as an antimicrobial coating on instruments and tools and can be removed with standard medical scrubbing protocols.
KnoxFog lasts 1+ month when rinsed in distilled water for simple cleaning (removes finger prints, dust, dirt). Transmits at 98% without optical distortion.
KnoxFog comes in a squeezable plastic droplet applicator with a sealed cap (3.6 ml) and includes:- 2 sterile sponges (for multiple lenses)
- sterile wrapper, with labeled with UDI label (mandated by FDA)
- instructions for application
- enclosed in a secondary clear bag
The application unit is a Sterile Medical Grade FDA Class I package that is autoclaved at 120°C.
One unit will cover about 10 to 30 lenses, or about 15 cm2 of surface whether plastic or glass.
