The inexpensive way to put PTFE protection onto any surface
BYTAC® Bench and Shelf Protector is a 0.001" (25.4 µm) layer of PTFE film on a smooth, tough support backing (vinyl or aluminum foil) with a pressure sensitive adhesive. It provides an easy-to-apply, easy-to-clean, non-stick covering for a wide variety of applications. It is not affected by moisture, weather or most chemicals. It also protects all kinds of surfaces against absorption of toxic or radioactive chemicals.

Use BYTAC® for protection against damage caused by corrosive chemicals on bench-tops, tabletops,fume hoods, work surfaces around microscopes and microtomes, etc.

Temperature Range
BYTAC® Bench & Shelf Protector with vinyl backing is for general purpose applications ranging in temperature up to 93°C (200°F).

For higher temperature applications from 93°C (200°F) to 182°C (360°F), we recommend using only BYTAC Bench & Shelf Protector with aluminum backing.

Easy to Clean
The release and clean-up characteristics of BYTAC® are excellent. Practically nothing sticks to its surface. Clean-up of chemicals, paint, oil, grease and sticky foods is as easy as wiping with a damp sponge or towel. BYTAC's PTFE surface is resistant to virtually all chemicals which makes it ideal for use with toxic or radioactive materials. Its completely non-absorbing characteristic makes it ideal for use as a substrate for applications ranging from oil painting, cooking, all the way to serving as a "mat" for hazardous chemical drums.

Easy to Replace
Should you want to remove or replace any BYTAC® material already in place, just peel it off. It comes off all surfaces easily and cleanly.
