Tempshield Cryo Gloves Standard Water Repellent Elbow Length Large One Pair
The standard water repellent gloves are the most commonly sold of the four types of gloves. We don't mean to make it sound like these gloves are only for liquid nitrogen use; they are really designed for all cryogenic hazards except liquid oxygen, but a very large number of persons work with liquid nitrogen, and many of them rely on these particular gloves for protection against the ultra cold of liquid nitrogen.
For liquid nitrogen applications, if the liquid was to penetrate the seam, since it is a boiling liquid, there would be minimal penetration. However, none of the Cryo-Gloves® products are designed to be immersed in liquid nitrogen or any other liquid, cryogenic or not.
The insulated cuff provides protection to the elbow.
Large (European 10)
Not recommended for liquid oxygen use:
While liquid nitrogen would be a boiling liquid and therefore, not result in much penetration into the glove's insulation layer (or the seams), for liquid oxygen, where the vapor pressure is much lower, the liquid would be much more likely to penetrate right through to the hand, and this is course would be quite undesirable. But if one absolutely had no alternatives (and that seems to be the case in many instances), they the 100% Waterproof models should be used.
