Payment Terms and Methods
Payment Options
Credit card or some other form of
prepayment is required for all orders, the exception being for existing
credit account (all net 30 days) which were already in existence and were in
good standing. The exception is when a major piece of equipment is being
purchased and you are a domestic USA customer. For all others, the terms
are payment in advance.
We accept all major credit cards for payment and any banking fees are absorbed by SPI Supplies.
If you are a foreign customer paying on a foreign currency credit card, the US equivalent
amount will be charged through to your credit card in terms of your own local currency.
Other options for payment include the following:
Prepayment:
All invoices are payable in US dollars either in the form of a paper draft
(check) drawn on a bank in the United States or by electronic funds transfer.
For the electronic transfer of funds to our accounts, please add $30 to
the transfer to cover the banking fee on our end that gets removed from the
payment prior to its getting into our account.

SPI Supplies is happy to accept
UNESCO Coupons.
In addition to the rules set forth by UNESCO, there
are also some additional rules of SPI Supplies that must be followed as well.
Payment by personal check:
Personal checks will be accepted only if in US dollars and drawn on a US
bank in the US. However, up to ten business days
could be required for the "clearing" of the check, before shipment can be
made.
Pricing policy and price protection against increases:
All prices are subject to change without notice, however, for any customer
printing a page from the website, showing the then current date, SPI Supplies
will honor that price, fob, for thirty days. That
does, in fact represent our official quotation to you,
our customer. And you save money by not having to ask us for a formal
quotation and we save money, and of course time as
well, by not having to send FAXes back and forth, stating exactly what is
already up on the website! If you are in a country where our
Flat Rate Shipping/Handling/Insurance policy
applies, you need only add that flat rate to the fob value to arrive at the guaranteed CIF price of you
contemplated purchase. We have tried hard to eliminate the uncertainties
when it comes to shipping/handling/insurance charges.
All bold statements, including the one above, have at least one qualifier
and in this case there are two. The exception to the
above price guarantee is for a) products containing precious metals in days
of wildly fluctuating precious metals prices and b)
pricing errors so obviously incorrect that any prudent person in the field
would recognize them as being incorrect.
Banking fees:
As banks in the USA become more and more deregulated, all businesses are
being assessed all kinds of fees that previously
were never separately charged. Presently, SPI Supplies and Structure Probe,
Inc. are being assessed a $30 fee when funds are
electronically transferred into our account from outside the USA. Therefore,
all invoices paid via electronic funds transfer from
outside the USA should be increased by $30 to indemnify SPI against these
new fees.
We want to make clear that payment by credit card can continue to be made
without the imposition of additional fees. And of
course, any payment in US dollars drawn on an account of a US bank in the
USA will similarly be free of any such additional
charges.
