The SPI Worldwide Guarantee
Our best chances for repeat business, we know from nearly 35
years of experience under the same continuous ownership and management,
is a satisfied customer. Therefore if you are not completely
satisfied with a SPI Supplies product, we will promptly and without further
comment, issue a replacement or refund. Again, as with any such sweeping
statement, there are exceptions. If the unhappiness is with a
Kodak® product, then the replacement would be determined
by the replacement policy of Kodak. If the unhappiness is with a Polaroid
Land® Film Product, then the replacement would be determined
by the replacement policy of Polaroid Corporation. This type of warranty
approach would apply to other items that are essentially purchased and
resold, as is, from another manufacturer, such as Alconox®,
Wenol®, POL®, Braycote®,
Apiezon®, etc. For all other products, mainly those carrying
exclusively the SPI Supplies label, the warranty is covered by SPI Supplies.
Details of the SPI Supplies warranty:
30 Days on Consumables and Small Items
We believe that thirty days after shipment should give a customer more than
enough time to determine if a product in a shipment is or is not within the
specifications as described on the SPI Supplies website. At the sole
discretion of SPI Supplies, this Warranty time could be extended for another
30 days, however, during the time the product is in the hands of a customer,
SPI Supplies has no control over how long a parcel might have remained in
the hot sun on a receiving department dock, for example, or how long it
might have been improperly stored in a laboratory setting. If the product
has been in the hands of the customer for some inordinately long period of
time, for example, more than 60 days, and SPI Supplies is then notified
about some problem, and the customer not wanting the product at all, then
the conditions of return will again be determined solely by SPI Supplies,
based on what seems fair to both SPI Supplies and the customer. This is at
all times done within the spirit of wanting to keep the customer as a
satisfied and happy customer for future business. But on occasion, we find
someone wanting to take advantage of SPI Supplies and our generous customer
oriented policies, and if only on the basis of principle, we will not agree
to some kind of unreasonable demand.
One Year on SPI Supplies Manufactured Equipment
Of the SPI Supplies manufactured equipment such as sputter and carbon
coaters, plasma etchers, plasma cleaners, etc., the warranty is one year on
needed replacement parts and service. This warranty does not cover glass
chambers in either the coaters or etchers/cleaners, therefore it is
important for our customers to read very carefully the installation
instructions before attempting to set up either type of system.
We know that the typical customer of microscopy, microanalysis, and
histology products wants to be sure that their suppliers are themselves
competent in the conduct of microscopy and microanalysis work and the use
of these products. And if your problem with a product is a technical one,
for example, a sputter coater not coating properly, you are put through,
for assistance, to someone in our applications laboratory who uses the
identical system every day. Whatever your problem or difficulty might be,
you can count on us to go whatever distance is necessary, in order to help
you solve your problem and to keep you as a highly satisfied SPI Supplies
customer.
