Braycote 1616, 10g syringe(available while supplies last)[CofC not available]

Castrol Braycote 1616 is a translucent white colored NLGI Grade 00 semi-fluid grease based upon a perfluoropolyether oil and a PTFE thickener. Castrol Fluoroclean™ X100 can be used to clean this product. Refer to the data sheet for Castrol Fluoroclean™ X100 for information regarding this product.

Application:

Braycote 1616 has been designed as a general purpose lubricant for ball and roller bearings and sliding surfaces operating under light duty. This product may also be used an assembly lubricant in applications where material compatibility is extremely important. Perfluorinated greases, in general, exhibit excellent shelf lives due to their intrinsic inertness.

Limitations:

Braycote 1616 is compatible with commonly used plastic, elastomer, and metallic construction materials. It may be adversely affected by Lewis Acids such as aluminum chloride, at elevated temperatures. Newly exposed rubbing surfaces of aluminum, titanium, or magnesium alloys may react with Braycote 1616 under certain conditions. Such systems should be thoroughly evaluated prior to use. Surfaces must be well cleaned of organic rust inhibitors prior to grease application to insure proper lubrication.

Removal of unwanted grease from grease applied surfaces:

The composition of this product is a mixture of small PTFE particles (which won't dissolve in anything) and a perfluorinated polyether liquid. We have found that Castrol® Fluoroclean™ HE is an effective solvent for the liquid component of the formulated composition and aids in the removal of the grease from places where it is no longer needed or wanted.

Packaging:

Braycote 1616 is packaged in 10 gram (AVDP) syringes.
