Certification statements are available for all Cargille fluids offered by SPI Supplies. The statement, in the form of a certificate, must be requested at the same time as the order for that particular Cargille fluid. Such statements can not be provided for fluids purchased previously from SPI Supplies.
Each Certification Certificate states the following:
- Customer name
- Item name/description
- Quantity
- Shelf life
- Statement about calibration with NIST traceable standards
In the case of the refractive index fluids kits, one certificate is issued per set of liquids. For example, one kit of Series A fluids would have associated with it, one certificate for the kit, irrespective of the number of bottles in the kit. If a Series AA kit was purchased, even if at the same time, then there would be a second certificate to cover this second kit. Such a certificate would also be available for any custom manufactured fluids. The cost of the Certificate is the same irrespective of the fluid being ordered.
In order to keep to a minimum future confusion when requesting certificates, we recommend that when Cargille fluids are being ordered, for which a Certificate is desired, then the line item for the fluid be listed first and then the next "item" would be the certificate. If a second such product was being ordered, then it would be listed as line item #3, and so on. However, a second Certificate would not need to be ordered unless the second fluid was in a different Series.
