Brayco® 815z Base Oil

Base oil used in the formulation of the 600 series Braycote vacuum greases

Braycote® 815z base oil is the same high quality fluid, with outstanding vapor pressure characteristics that is used in the formulation of more commonly used 600 series vacuum greases such as 600EF, 601EF, 602EF and 603EF. For some of the other members of the 600 series, those used primarily in aerospace applications, different base oils are used. Particular counts:
This particular base oil has the lowest particle counts of the three base oils.

Temperature Range of Use:
-72°C (-100°F) to 204°C (400°F) under normal operating conditions and up to 260°C (5000°F) for brief periods.

Other properties/characteristics:
The % weight loss at 232°C (450°F) after 72 hours is 0.5.

Removal of unwanted grease from grease applied surfaces:
The composition of this product is a pure perfluorinated (PFPE) liquid without PTFE particles (which if present won't dissolve in anything). We have found that Castrol® Fluoroclean™ HE is an effective solvent for the perfluorinated liquid lubricants and greatly aids in the removal of the liquid from places where it is no longer needed or wanted.
