SPI Swiss Tweezers for Coin and Currency Collectors
Select from these tweezers designed for safe and easy handling

SPI Supplies has traditionally manufactured high precision tweezers for
applications in electron and light microscopy which included specialized
tweezers for handling the most fragile and delicate of specimens. Although
we have not developed a line of tweezers specifically for coin and currency
collectors, we can report that the following of our tweezers are widely used
by coin and currency collectors all over the world:

Plastic tweezers
The "hardness" of the plastic is so much less than the hardness of any coin
that there is just no way that one could cause damage to a coin using one of
these three tweezers. Generally speaking, these plastic tweezers have no
difficulty getting "underneath" paper currency for lifting and examination.

PTFE coated tweezers
We have a number of PTFE coated wafer tweezers that could be used to pick up
coins and although they are metal, because the PTFE coating is "soft", there
is not much chance of causing any damage to a coin.

Picking up currency (or stamps)
The ends are electropolished to a very small radius of curvature, so they
can easily slip underneath a piece of paper or stamp. Even though the
construction is metal, the fact that the pad is electro polished to mirror
reflection smoothness eliminates any possibility of damage to the paper or
stamp being picked up.
