The SPI Supplies® Brand PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) molded tweezers are designed for
use at temperature extremes, both high as well as cryogenic temperatures, and also where extraordinary
chemical inertness is required. Applications range from the electronics
industry to lower temperature physics. They are especially useful when small
samples are being "liquid nitrogen quenched", since the termal conductivity
of PTFE is so low.
The tweezers are made from pure virgin PTFE homopolymer and have
the very highest chemical resistance as well as a higher service use
temperature than PTFE copolymer products.
