Ampoule Neck Breaker - SPI Supplies

This disposable, non-breakable elastomeric plastic collar slips over the neck of any ampoule to create a larger area for grasping, making hard-to-handle ampoules easier to open minimizing the risk of cuts, nicks, and exposure to hazardous chemicals. Dispose of the now broken glass collar along with the ampoule top in an approved manner. These glass ampoule breakers are ideal for use with ampoules containing either osmium tetroxide or glutaraldehyde.
Made from a chemical resistant elastomeric form of polyethylene.
We believe, as most people in electron microscopy appreciate, that osmium tetroxide is the single most dangerous chemical used in the EM laboratory environment. Make sure that if you are using osmium tetroxide, you are aware of our MSDS and safety recommendations for the safe usage of the material.
