This vice has been designed and manufactured in the USA to the very highest of manufacturing standards. The model is equipped with a special non-marring, patented VacuBaseT which attaches to any smooth, clean and nonporous surface with a "flick of of the lever".

The vice has been precision built and are rugged and versatile. There is no need for screws or clamps that can mar a surface and it is small and light enough to be easily carried form one location to another. The "hold" is very secure and it is released with the "flick" of another lever.

The 400 model comes "standard" with a pair of slide on rubber jaw covers for delicate objects.

Construction:
The 400 model is vises are silver gray in appearance and are zinc die-cast. Although the vise is designed to last a long time without maintenance, for heavy users, we also have readily available some common replacement parts. For the occasional user, the purchase of such parts is really not necessary but for one contemplating an almost daily use, then purchasing some of the replacement parts might make sense, and you will that way avoid having to pay our minimum order charge for an otherwise inexpensive replacement part.

Applications:
We were first introduced to this product in a microscopy laboratory many years ago but since have come to realize that this vise certainly has more general applications in any laboratory for cutting out samples. This also widely used in watchmaking, by locksmiths, in arts and crafts of all types, model making, drilling, sawing, sharpening, polishing, soldering and welding, framing antique restoration and the list is almost endless!

Model #400:
This is the more "de luxe" model for the most precise of work because it utilizes a 360° swivel action. In addition, it features a 90° tilting head which allows for a very accurate "third hand" control.
