SPI Supplies offers a full range of laboratory cleaning supplies of the highest quality. These are all "famous names" and in their respective classes, money can not purchase finer quality. We are often times asked to make a "recommendation" for a particular product in a particular situation. Generally speaking, the selection of the specific cleaning product that is best for your application will involve "trade offs".

For example, what if one is looking the right product to clean a printer head. One does need something that is soft enough not to cause damage but stiff enough to budge and dislodge a persistent piece of paper from a space where it does not belong. We would suggest that it is impossible to find a product that will satisfy exactly both almost mutually contradictory requirements. The SPI cotton-tipped applicators are clearly going to be better for dislodging stuck things like pieces of paper, but they have the considerable downside of leaving cotton fibers in places where they don't help. A knife blade is, of course, excellent for getting a piece of paper out of a tight space, but at the risk of damage to the edges of that space.

So like other things in life, the selection of the right cleaning agent involves trade-offs. Select your cleaning products carefully. This is why we offer such a wide selection of different products and brands.

	SPI Cleaning Time Savers. Try SPI Bell Bright and SPI Metal Bright, unique spray products specially formulated for use in the EM laboratory. Simply spray these water soluble coatings on metal (Metal Bright) or glass (Bell Bright) surfaces and form a protective barrier between sensitive equipment and both unwanted dust and other deposits. When ready to clean the surface, wipe everything away with water alone and a lint free cotton or polyester wiper!

	Asahiklin^® AK-225 Light Duty Degreaser is another degreaser, widely used as a final cleaning step for metal surfaces that will be in contract with high vacuum or UHV. Used in conjunction with another one of our cleaning products, Pikal paste, it becomes the worlds best approach to the cleaning of metal surfaces to be exposed to high vacuum.
	SPI-Fibe™ Microfiber Cleaning Cloth Our own specially engineered wiper for critical cleaning applications. For cleanroom use, consider using our SPI-Fibe™ Ultra Microfiber Wipers.
