The new Parafilm® Florist Stem Wrap is similar to the original Parafilm® M Laboratory Sealing Film and the more recently developed Parafilm® Grafting Tape.
Technical differences: The main difference is that the new product contains a different amount of polyolefin and wax, therefore the final finished product does not require a slip sheet between layers of the roll. So in addition to a convenience factor, associated with the absence of a slip sheet, the product does exhibit properties that make it somewhat more appealing if not also more convenient for florist applications.
Applications: The product is a self-sealing tape for finishing corsage and wedding bouquet stems, floral novelties, silk or dried flowers and offers superior performance in applications requiring extra stretching and water proofing. Additionally, the new product is know for its:
