Parafilm® Florist Stem Wrap

Developed for finishing corsage and wedding bouquet stems

Spanish

Step 1: Pinch

First stretch, then fold Parafilm Stem Wrap around the top of the stem. Pinch it together until it sticks.
Step 2: Stretch

Be sure to stretch Parafilm Stem Wrap as you wind it around the flower stems or wires. This allows for neat wrap-around and helps the wrap seal to itself.
Step 3: Twirl

Roll or twirl the stem into the wrap while stretching it downward. Make a long, tight spiral wrap, overlapping the edges for complete coverage.
Step 4: Seal

To finish, pinch the stem wrap with your fingers. When the stem is completely covered, tear off Florist Parafilm Stem Wrap at the bottom. Wrap each flower separately, then use Parafilm to assemble the entire floral creation.

Some other useful information about Parafilm Stem Wrap:
Florist Parafilm Stem Wrap is a self-sealing product that can stretch more than four times its original length. Use it to create floral bouquets, corsages or novelties with a superior finish and a clean appearance.

Waterproof Parafilm is a high quality, professional grade product that saves florists tie, materials, and expense. Once you use Parafilm stem wrap, you won't settle for poor quality, imported competitive products.

Florist Parafilm Stem Wrap is also less bulky than other wraps, and it has a smooth, clean and bright finish thanks to its polyolefin content. Discriminating florists find it particularly suitable for the quality and care expected in wedding work.

Some tips for making a lasting floral impression:
To retain moisture around the stem of a flower in a corsage or bouquet, simply roll some tissue or cotton around the base of the stem and hold with a thin wire. Dip flower wired with tissue or cotton into water and then cover with Parafilm Stem Wrap.

Finish the stem with the Parafilm step wrap or cover with Floratape stem wrap. The film will keep the moisture from other coverings such as ribbon.

For flowers such as stephanotis, insert a hairpin or u-shaped wire down through the base on both sides of the stem. Pull both ends of the wire downward until the bend in the wire rests against the hard ovary inside the flower. Then, place a small moist piece of cotton or tissue alongside the stem between the two wires and tape with waterproof Parafilm to seal in moisture.
