Rechargeable and Indicating Desiccating Canister
This 2" x 4" (5.1 x 10.2 cm) perforated canister is packed with an indicator
silica gel to maintain a low level of humidity in three cubic feet of sealed
space - ideal for our desiccating cabinets.
When the monitor window turns from blue to pink, the gel is saturated and needs only
to be heated to restore it completely to its former absorbent state. In this manner the
canister can be used indefinitely. These canisters can be rejuvenated
by heating in a lab oven for several hours at 90° C/194° F driving off the
absorbed moisture and recycled this way for an essentially unlimited number
of times. We would advise against heating above 90° C/194° F because
changes will start to occur in the polyethylene containment plastic.
