Introduction:
The Techni-Dome^® family offers a wide selection of spherical chambers for the analytical laboratory. This is truly a new and novel product. For years, laboratories have had to suffer with numerous small vacuum desiccators, and their small size also limited the maximum size sample that could be put into the desiccator volume. The Secador^® Techni-Dome^® 360 permits the dry storage (under vacuum of course) of large quantities of standards, samples, electronic devices or other high value items that can be stored safely long term. Since it is under vacuum at all times, there is never any need to worry about desiccant, or the periodic changing of a desiccant. So in addition to convenience, for important samples that must be kept dry, this is the perfect solution.

All of the chambers available have the following characteristics in common:

• Durable construction - These chambers are constructed of polycarbonate plastic, known for it's ability to resist most common laboratory solvents. Polycarbonate also offers excellent impact resistance.
• Superior clarity - These chambers are crystal clear, giving the analyst an unobstructed 360 degree view of the contents inside the chamber.
• Easy to clean - The interior walls are smooth, making cleaning a snap. The dished bottom contains any accidental spills, and makes cleaning them up a simple operation.
• Light weight - Most of the models weigh under 11 lbs. (5 kg).
• Ease of storage - When not in use, simple remove the lid, and nest the two halves together on a shelf or under the lab bench.
• Maintains a good vacuum - Can hold a vacuum of 29" Hg (737mm) at room temperature for 24 hours.
