Details of mount content and appearance A carousel mount is designed to fit around a 1/2" SEM sample holder, so that the standards and unknown form a unit. In this way both standards and sample can be fitted into the sample chamber of an instrument which can only hold one sample at a time.
This carousel has 24 positions, of which two are empty. They may have originally contained soluble material which has been lost. The rest of the items are minerals, pure metals and simple synthetic compounds.
SPI Supplies would be happy to fill the empty positions with items selected from our DYOS list upon request.
1.0" (25.4mm) outside diameter, 0.5" inside diameter, 0.2" (5mm) high
There is a set screw to lock a 0.5" diameter SEM stub. The photograph shows a brass insert designed to hold an SEM pin type stub
