Ideal aid for typical electron microscopy laboratory!

Appearance: White tan colored fluffy agglomerated powder
CAS # :12767-83-8

SPI Supplies specially prepared Victawet might qualify for one of the most valuable "helpers" around an electron microscopy laboratory, especially when everything else fails, yet it also seems to be one of the least understood or appreciated of all items one might need to purchase for their laboratory. And what other product for the EM lab represents a lifetime supply (at least for most) for such a tiny amount of money?

Victawet

When a small amount of Victawet is heated in a vacuum evaporator, with the evaporation generally being done from a tungsten basket, there is formed on the surface to be studied, a uniformly applied, water soluble surface parting layer which aids in floating replicas off of complex surfaces without obscuring details or fine structure. Actually any instance that arises where replicas are difficult to lift off becomes a candidate for the use of Victawet. And since so little is needed, per evaporation, one vial might indeed be a lifetime supply! And as if this was not enough, each 5 gm bottle is accompanied with a complete set of use instructions.

Victawet for electron microscopy should not be confused with the commercial Victawet grades, namely Victawet 12B and Victawet 35 B.
