This is the fine polyolefin white powder that is a part of the SPI #01090-AB Wet Replica Kit. It is a low melting point polyethylene and exhibits outstanding properties when wetting the kind of silicone replica made from the SPI Wet Replica Kit. When being used to replica negatives of human skin, leaf surfaces, or any other surface , be it wet or dry, except for color, it looks at least to the eye, exactly like the original surface replicated. It is inert and stable and won't change with time. It can be readily metallized in a sputter coater with gold or other metals.
