The Micromould system is without doubt, the most convenient as well as the most practical way to embed samples for microscopy.

The individual capsules snip off into self-contained units just like a BEEM capsule. Each capsule produces a pyramidal tipped block with an area of 1 mm square at the tip. The capsule itself is quickly released by two easy cuts down the capsule wall and for most applications, requires little (time-consuming) trimming. The final result is virtually identical to the widely popular Size 00 BEEM^® Capsule but at a much lower price.

The highest quality homogeneous clear polyethylene is used for the starting material, resulting in an extremely easy to handle and cut material. Microscopists who use Micromoulds instead of individual "capsules" report a) far greater ease of use since the mold itself is "self-supporting" and b) because the cost per cavity is less than individual capsules. And since a capsule "holder" is not needed, one can save on the cost of the purchase of capsule holders.
