SPI Virgin Diamond Compound

SPI Diamond Compound is SEM-inspected for uniformity and particle size. For electron metallography, you could not make a better choice in your selection of diamond products. This fine polishing product is precision graded and compounded to completely disperse the diamond, boost its cutting power, and extend its usefulness. The SPI Diamond products for metallography absolutely won't contaminate your important samples by giving rise to EDS peaks that are not "real". And whatever might be present, down in the low ppm levels would never be detected by an EDS system anyhow. The SPI Diamond products for metallography are soluble in oil, water, and in all common organic extenders.

Use with

• Sizes .25µm and 1.0µm: for high precision polishing.
• Sizes 3.0µm, 6.0µm, and 9.0µm: for general, flat polishing.
• Sizes 15µm and 30µm: for intermediate finish in preparatory lapping.

SPI Virgin Diamond Slurry

This is another highly valuable product for metallography generally but especially useful for applications in electron metallography. It is recommended over the diamond paste products when there is the need for spraying diamond over an extended area. One can generally expect excellent results when hand-polishing specimens. Eight grain sizes available; all medium concentration and packaged in 100 g non-breakable plastic bottles.

SPI Alumina Powder & Slurry for metallography

These products were developed specifically for fine abrasive applications and they are excellent for the precision polishing of metallographical samples. Accurate control of the powder particle size and purity assures you the best possible results for all precision polishing operations. Special proprietary treatments assure the complete deagglomeration of the agglomerates for scratch-free results.

Use instructions:
Mix with deionized water to produce the working liquid slurry.
