Introduction:
Using the very latest of semiconductor and MEMS processing techniques, we are able to produce highly uniform holes in silicon. The product displayed on this page is the first product in what will be a much wider family of filtration products of different pore sizes and pore densities.

Description:
The present product consists of an active filter membrane which has dimensions of 4.5 x 4.5 mm square mounted into a filter disk 47 mm diameter and which is designed to fit into any standard 47 mm diameter filter holder. The applications for this innovative filtration media are still being discovered. However, already some very important applications have been discovered in the brewing of beer.

These microsieve membrane filters are non-fluorescing. They are not autofluorescent. The Anopore™ aluminum oxide membrane filters have similar fluorescent properties, but these membrane filters are far thinner than the Anopore™ membranes. This far thinner membrane results is a much lower pressure drop across the membrane and therefore a greatly increased flow rate, up to 1,000,000 l/m2/bar/hour which is far faster than could ever be obtained using the aluminum oxide system. Anopore membranes are 60 µm.
