Step #1: Hold plastic box between your fingers as indicated.

Step #2: Cut the adhesive tape on both sides with s sharp knife or razor blade.
Step #3: Put box on flat work surface.
Step #4: Remove the plastic outer cover, the cover glass is now free.
Step #5: Remove cover glass with care. The scintillator is left in its
position with the powder coated surface facing "up". Warning:
Do not touch the powder surface!
Step #6: Put SEM mounting ring from topside over scintillator.
Step #7: Hold SEM mounting ring tight and turn all upside down.
Scintillator should fall into the SEM mounting ring.
Step #8: Bring tilted mounting ring to the light pipe (so scintillator does
not fall out) and slip directly onto the end of the light pipe.
Literally hundreds of SEM users depend on SPI scintillators for peak
performance of their SEMs. Follow these instructions and you should have no
problems!
