Anyone doing arc evaporations such as in a vacuum evaporator should certainly be using eye protection. And we believe
that the best protection is that which can be imparted by good welder's goggles. We would never recommend anyone consider using anything less.
It is not just a matter of protection from the brightness but also from UV that gets generated.
One of main reasons workers in laboratories often times try to avoid using eye protection
is that such protection tends to be inconvenient. We offer to our customers the appropriate
level of eye protection but with the "flip top" design for the ultimate of convenience.
When you are engaging in serious business in front of your evaporator (or other similar apparatus),
the flap is in the down position but when you are finished, you can raise up the flap and see normally
through the clear glass that is also part of the goggles.

The product comes with two lenses, one a #5 for working with high temperature sources to protect
against UV, and the other a #10 for working with arc evaporation sources.
