Introduction:
SPI Supplies is known worldwide for its wide range of products for microscopy laboratories. For many of the products that are used to make for easier analysis and evaluation of electron micrographs, we have found a far larger market to be that of persons who are in one way or another, visually impaired.

We have many customers for these products, including children of aging parents who are experiencing difficulty with their deteriorating vision. We are happy to be able to bring these very modestly priced products to those who need them, but our credit card processing system, which was originally set up to serve our primarily institutional customer base, permits us to make shipments only to the address of record of the credit card account. Please don't ask us to make exceptions, because our system just does not permit us to do that.

Minimum order:
Again, because of our generally business-to-business (B2B) customer base, a $50 minimum order is never an issue. We have not placed excessive mark-ups on the selling prices of these products for the visually impaired (as others do), but we must stick to the $50 minimum order. We have a flat rate shipping/handling/insurance fee to virtually all shipping destinations in the world and we can not make exceptions to that flat rate approach either. Please don't think we don't appreciate your business but we are set up to do business this one way and we are just not set up make exceptions.

Suggestions to help make the minimum order:
All lenses pick up dirt, be it via dust particles or organic films such as from handling. At the end of the product listing will be our recommendation for lens cleaning tissues. Both the Ross as well as the SPI Supplies brands of lens cleaning tissues are considered "professional quality". They are also the very best for the cleaning of one's glasses. For one wanting the ultimate, consider the SPI Supplies brand of microfiber wipers.

We have attempted to separate into categories the products offered by SPI Supplies that could be helpful to the visually impaired. These products are by and large, not expensive and they seem to make excellent gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, and of course for Christmas, Chanukah, and Kwanzaa. We apologize for not being set up to include a gift card or wrappings.
