Penguin 600CLM and Pro 150ESM Monochrome Digital Camera Systems
The Penguin 600CLM and Pro 150ESM Monochrome cameras are designed the users who has inadequate light levels but who does not need the benefit of color recording. Hence, by removing the color filters, one suddenly has far more available light. But they have to be satisfied with having results that are going to be monochrome (e.g. black and white).

In order to increase the signal to noise ratio, Pixera also offers this basic camera with cooling (Penguin 600CLM). True, it is more expensive, but the cooling really does reduce the noise level, allowing for substantially improved results. But keep in mind that we are talking about those who really never have enough light and are always working at the margin as to whether there is or is not enough available light. The Penguin 600CLM (with cooling) allows the user to push the envelope of minimum light levels and when one can record useful information.
