"Timing is everything" and the Model 555 is indeed the "ultimate" in timing!

The Model 555 has an instantly repeatable time cycle. Digital timing circuits cycle off a quartz crystal time base with little reaction to power fine interference and none to frequency variations.

In addition to dark room application, use for kinetics experiments, start/stop times for gastromatograhpy, safety shut-off on critical equipment, centrifuges, x-ray development, quality control analysis.

Extensive timing capacity features tenth of a second timing up to 59 minutes, 59.9 seconds with automatic reset; repeat a cycle over and over by pushing a single button. Half-inch high, red LED's display minutes, seconds and tenths. Adjust brightness from high to off. The Model 555 can count down or up to give you a stop clock features.

Audio signal feature offers four signal choices:

1) metronome beep each second,

2) one-second long end-of-cycle tone,

3) tenth of a second beep each half-minute,

4) no audio signal at all.

Two outlets can be set to cycle on or off-time, under timer control or turned on or off independently of the timed switch. Also, output jacks give you logic level compatible signals in parallel with corresponding AC outlets.

Compact and lightweight, the Model 555 has dimensions of 2 1/4" X 4 1/2" X 9 1/4" (5.7 X 11.4 X 23.5cm), and can be positioned at a 20-25° inclined angle on its own stand, sit on rubber pads which provide traction on flat surfaces, or wall mounted using keyhole slots on its underside.
