Burnishers for Transfer Sheets

Introduction:
For many years, the SPI Supplies^® Brand transfer symbol sheet collection has been the premier source for high quality transfer sheets for use in light, electron and other types of microscopy (and other applications). And with the unrelenting shift away from emulsion products to digital imaging, there has been a declining use of transfer symbol sheets, and a declining number of printing houses that will still print them. Consequently, we keep our fingers crossed that the last printer of these sheets shuts down their printing line.

We have noticed some of our "regular" customers who are making rather large "stock up" orders. This is probably OK so long as the long term storage is under refrigeration in sealed, dry polybags. If they are not stored this way, after a few years, they will lose their "tac" and their ability to "stick" onto a dry surface such as a photographic emulsion.

The burnisher has been the popular tool for transferring the ink to the dry surface of interest. We offer three different styles. There is no particular style that is preferentially requested by customers and in fact some purchase the entire set of three.
