Latex Specimen for checking SEM astigmatism

These prepared latex specimens contain a very fine dispersion of latex particles applied to an SEM mount. The diameter of the particles is tightly controlled, and is on the order of 0.109um. Because of the spherical nature of the latex particles, this sample is an excellent choice for the detectionand correction of any astigmatism in the SEM. The tight tolerance of thelatex sphere size also makes this sample useful for magnification calibration, although with less precision than one of our calibrated SEM mounts.
