Section 3: Hazard Identification

Emergency overview:

Appearance: Black enamel paint
Flash Point: 24°F (Tag Closed Cup)

Warning! Flammable liquid

Target Organs: Eyes, Skin, Nervous system

Potential Health Effects

Eye: May cause irritation or burning eyes.

Skin: Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause irritation or contact
dermatitis.

Ingestion: In case of ingestion, seek medical attention.

Inhalation: May cause nose and throat irritation.

Chronic: Repeated and prolonged overexposure to solvent has been
associated with permanent brain damage.

Section 4: First Aid Measures

Eyes: In case of eye contact, immediately flush with copious amounts of
water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.

Skin: In case of skin contact, wash with plenty of soap and water. If
irritation occurs, seek medical attention.

Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek medical
attention.

Section 5: Fire Fighting Measures

Flash Point: 24° F (Tag Closed Cup)

General Information:
Flammable vapors may be emitted if heated above the flash point. Fine mists or
sprays may be flammable at temperatures lower than the flash point.

Extinguishing Media:
Carbon Dioxide, Dry Chemical, Foam

Protection:
Toxic decomposition products may form under fire conditions. Wear full protective
clothing and a full facepiece, positive pressure, self contained breathing
apparatus (SCBA). Water fog may be used to cool containers to prevent pressure
build-up:

Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards:
Keep away from sparks and open flames. Do not smoke in area with open product.
The solvent vapors are heavier than air and may travel along the floor to a
source of ignition and flashback. Use the product in areas and equipment with
appropriate National Electrical Code (NEC) classification. Consider the need
for spark proof tools. If the product could be heated above its flash point
during processing or use, remove all sources of ignition, such as sparks,
flames, or static discharge to prevent vapor ignition.

Section 6: Accidental Release Measures

General Information:
Ventilate area. Remove sources of ignition. Prevent skin contact. Do not breathe
vapors.

Spills/Leaks:
Confine and remove with inert absorbent. Dispose of in accordance with all
applicable Federal, State and Local Regulations.

Section 7: Handling and Storage

Handling:
Use in accordance with good industrial practice. Avoid skin and eye contact.
Avoid breathing vapors. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Storage:
Store in tightly closed original container in dry, cool area.
Do not store over 120°F.

Section 8: Exposure Controls and Personal Protection

Engineering Controls:
Use local exhaust. Eye bath and safety shower should be available to the work
place.

Exposure Limits:
