Potential Health Effects:

Polymer Fume Fever condition. Symptoms of exposure to
decomposition products are: lung irritation, pulmonary
edema, flu-like symptoms (example - fever chills). No
medical conditions are known to be aggravated by exposure.
Chronic effects: A review of the literature does not show obvious
long term hazards.
Routes of exposure: Skin contact, eye contact, inhalation
Eyes: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with copious
amounts of flowing water for at least 15 minutes, retracting
eye lids often. Get medical attention if irritation persists.
Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with mild soap and water. Flush with
luke warm water for 15 minutes. Obtain immediate medical
attention if fluid is injected under the skin.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting! Immediate give two glasses of
charcoal slurry or plain water. Do not attempt to give
anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Contact a
physician at once. If unconscious, immediately take
affected person to a hospital.
Inhalation: Remove from exposure area to fresh air immediately.
Administer oxygen if deemed necessary. Polymer Fume
Fever symptoms should subside within twenty four hours.

Fire Fighting Instructions:
Water or foam may cause frothing. Use water to keep fire exposed
container cool. Water spray may be used to flush spills away from
exposure. For fires in enclosed areas, firefigfhters must use
self-contained breathing apparatus. Prevent runoff from fire
control or dilution from entering streams or drinking water supply.
Unusual Fire Hazards:
Fluoropolymers will degrade upon prolonged heating or in a fire,
liberating carbonyl fluoride and hydrogen fluoride (HF). This gas
is toxic if inhaled or it comes into contact with moist skin. HF
has an ACGIH TLV ceiling limit of 3 ppm (2.6 mg/m3) and an OSHA PEL
TWA of 3 ppm. Carbonyl fluoride has an ACGIL TLV and OSHA PEL TWA
of 2 ppm (5 mg/m3).
Firefighting procedures:
Use self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and skin protection
for acid gas exposure. Do not enter fire area without proper
protection. Fight fire from safe distance. If possible, air
monitoring should be performed.
Release response: Scrape up excess grease and store in closed containers until disposal. Clean up area with appropriate cleaner, possibly using Perfluorosolv PFS-1 a special cleaning solvent for this type of grease, to minimize the possibilities of any remaining slipping hazard. Until this is done, make sure appropriate caution signs pointing out the slipping hazard area are in place. Store in approved metal containers until disposal. Recommended disposal: Dispose according to applicable local, state/provincial and federal regulations.
Storage and handling: Store in sealed containers at room temperature. Avoid prolonged/repeated breathing of vapors, mists, fumes. Keep container tightly closed. Do not store near combustible materials or heat. Keep away from heat, sparks, and flames. Wash hands after use and before handling food or applying cosmetics. Do not use tobacco products in the immediate area. Do not contaminate cigarette or cigar products with the product because it will decompose in the heat of the cigarette (or cigar) to HF which is very toxic. Maintain adequate ventilation.
