Extinguishing Media:
Foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemical, water fog

Special fire fighting procedures:
When fighting chemical fires wear full protective equipment with self-contained
breathing apparatus. Water spray may be used to cool fire exposed containers.
Toxic fumes may be evolved when this substance is burned.

Section 5: Reactivity Datas

Stability:
Stable; Hazardous polymerization will not occur.

Incompatibility:
Strong oxidizing agents, Lewis and mineral acids

Hazardous decomposition products:
  Oxides of carbon, aldehydes, acids

Conditions to avoid:
Epoxy resins and epoxy resin hardeners react with each
other producing heat. They should not be mixed with
each other under uncontrolled conditions or in large
mass as the ensuing exotherm may result in heat and
smoke resulting in hazardous decomposition products.

Section 6: Health Hazard Data

Effects of Overexposure:

Acute:
Slightly irritating to skin, moderately irritating to the eyes.
Odor may irritate nose, throat and respiratory tract of some persons.

Chronic:
May cause skin sensitization from prolonged and repeated contact.

Carcinogenicity:
Early studies with DGEBPA have been negative. The IARC
concluded in 1988 that DGEBPA was not classified as a carcinogen.

Section 7: Hazard Identification/Health Hazard Data

     Routes of entry:
     Inhalation: Yes
     Skin: Yes
     Ingestion: Accidental

Health Hazards (Acute and Chronic):

Carcinogenicity:
       NTP: Not listed
       IARC Monographs: Not listed
       OSHA Regulated: Not listed

Signs and Symptoms of Exposure:

Inhalation: May cause headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness,
narcosis, respiratory failure, low blood pressure,
central nervous system depression, coughing, difficult
             breathing.

Eye contact: May cause severe irritation or burns. May cause pain
on contact. Vapors may irritate eyes.

Skin contact: May cause severe irritation or burns. Absorption
into the skin may cause dermatitis. Repeated contact
may cause drying or flaking of the skin.

Ingestion: May cause headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness,
            gastrointestinal irritation.

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure:
Skin disorders, respiratory system disease

Section 8: Emergency and First Aid Procedures

Take proper precautions to ensure your own health and safety before
attempting to rescue and providing first aid.

Inhalation: If inhaled, move to fresh air. If not breathing give
artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult,
             give oxygen.

Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at
least 15 minutes while holding eye lids open.

Skin Contact: Flush skin with water while removing contaminated
clothing. Wash affected area with soap and water.
Launder contaminated clothing before reuse. Contaminated
leather articles (e.g. shoes) can not be decontaminated
               and should be destroyed.

Ingestion: Call a physician. Do not give liquids if victim is unconscious
or very drowsy. Otherwise, give no more than 2 glasses of water
and induce vomiting by giving 2 tablespoons syrup of ipecac
(1 table spoon and 1 glass of water for a child). If ipecac is
unavailable, give 2 glasses of water and induce vomiting by
touching finger to back of the throat. Keep head below hips
               while vomiting. Get medical attention.

Section 9: Accidental Release Measures

Steps to be taken if material is released or spilled:
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing. Shut
off ignition sources; no flares, smoking or flames in area. Stop leak if
you can do so without risk. Use water spray to reduce vapors. Take up and
sand or other non-combustible absorbent material and place into container
for later disposal. Flush area with water.

Waste disposal method:
Waste is not hazardous by RCRA criteria (40 CFR 261). Place in an appropriate
disposal facility in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.

Section 10: Stability and Reactivity

Precautions to be taken in handling and storing:
Keep containers tightly closed. Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated,
chemical liquid storage area. Keep product out of light.

Other precautions:
Keep containers tightly sealed. Avoid prolonged exposure to vapors and
skin contact.

Section 11: Exposure Controls and Personal Protection

Respiratory Protection:
Normally none is required when adequate ventilation is provided.
In the absence of proper environmental control NIOSH approved
respiratory protection is required. For emergencies, a self-contained
breathing apparatus or full-faced respirator is recommended.

Ventilation:
Provide adequate ventilation in work areas. Confine material
in sealed containers when not in use.

Protective Gloves:
Always wear impervious gloves, Neoprene® gloves recommended.

Eye Protection:
Chemical splash proof goggles are recommended or safety spectacles
with side shields would also be acceptable. Always wear eye protection when sending
cured epoxy resins to avoid dust in the eyes.

Other Protective Clothing or Equipment:
Impervious over-clothing as needed. Safety shower and eye wash station
in local area.

Work/Hygienic Practices:
Wash thoroughly after using.
