Section 3: Hazard Identification

Emergency overview: Causes eye irritation; may cause allergic skin reaction;
may case skin irritation.

Appearance: Clear liquid

Flash Point: 320°F

Eye: May cause moderate eye irritation and/or moderate corneal injury.

Skin: May cause irritation with local redness. Reaction may be more severe
on abraded skin or on prolonged contact. Repeated contact may produce skin burns,
accompanied by pain, severe local redness, swelling and tissue damage. May cause
an allergic skin reaction. Absorption of harmful amounts of the chemical is
unlikely due to skin contact.

Ingestion: Small amounts swallowed in normal handling operations are not
likely to cause injury, due to low toxicity. Howeverk large amounts swallowed
may be harmful.

Inhalation: Vapor from heated material may cause irritation.

Chronic: No information available.

Section 4: First Aid Measures

Eyes: Flush eyes with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes;
seek medical attention promptly.

Skin: Wash skin with copious amounts of water. Wash clothing before
reuse. Dispose of contaminated shoes and non-washable items.

Ingestion: If swallowed, seek medical attention. Do not induce vomiting
unless instructed to do so by medical personnel.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If symptoms occur, seek medical
attention.

Notes to Physician: For burns, decontaminate skin area, then treat as any
thermal burn. Additional washing of the are with mild non-abrasive soap and
plenty of warm water for at least 15 minutes may be indicated. Treat
symptomatically and supportively.

Section 5: Fire Fighting Measures

General Information:
Flash point: 320° F (Pensky Martens Closed Cup, ASTM D-93)
	Autoignition Temperature: Not available
	Flammability Limits:
		Lower: Not available
		Upper: Not available

Hazardous Combustion Products: Phenolic compounds, carbon dioxide, carbon
monoxide.

Other information: In fire situation, gas generation may cause rupture of
container. Burning without sufficient oxygen may produce dense smoke.

Extinguishing Media: Dry chemical, foam, carbon dioxide, water fog or fine
water spray. Do not use direct water stream or fire may spread. Alcohol
resistant foams are preferred. General purpose synthetic foams or protein
foams will be less effective.

Protective Equipment: Protective Equipment/Clothing: Wear a NIOSH
approved positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus and firefighter
turnout gear. Remove non-emergency personnel from the area.

Section 6: Accidental Release Measures

General Information: Isolate the area. Keep unnecessary personnel away.
Wear appropriate protective clothing.

Spills/Leaks: Do not allow to enter ditches, sewers, waterways and/or
groundwater. Prevent soil contamination. Absorb spilled materials with inert
materials such as sand. Collect in suitable containers and label for removal.
Use soap and hot water to remove residual material.

Section 7: Handling and Storage

Handling: Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wash thoroughly
after handling

Storage: Store in original container in cool, dry areal.

Section 8: Exposure Controls and Personal Protection

Engineering Controls: Local exhaust ventilation is recommended.

Exposure Limits: None known.

OSHA Vacated PELs: None known.

Personal Protective Equipment:
Eyes: Use chemical splash goggles.

Skin: If skin is cut or scratched, use chemically resistant gloves for
even brief exposure. Wash hands thoroughly. Remove contaminated clothing
immediately and launder before reuse.

Clothing: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and launder before
reuse.

Respirators: Not required under most conditions. However, if discomfort
is experienced use an appropriate NIOSH approved air-purifying respirator.

Section 10: Stability and Reactivity

Chemical Stability:
Stable

Conditions to Avoid:
Temperatures above 350°C. At temperatures above 350°C violent decomposition may
occur, producing gas generation and rapid increase in pressure in closed
systems.

Incompatibility with Other Materials:
Oxidizing agents, acids, bases, amines

Hazardous Decomposition of Products:
Gases will be released during decomposition. The actual decomposition products
will depend upon temperature, oxygen supply, and the presence of other
materials. Possible decomposition products include phenolics, carbon monoxide,
and water.

Hazardous Polymerization:
Will not occur by itself. However, masses of more than 1 pound of product,
when combined with an aliphatic amine, will cause an exothermic irreversible
polymerization with considerable heat build up possible.
