Signs and Symptoms of Acute Exposure:

           Not known

Skin contact:

           Irritation (acute) can occur.
           Allergic reactions may occur (chronic)

Inhalation:

At process temperatures irritating fumes may be produced.
Inhalation of process fumes may cause soreness in the nose
and throat and coughing. Inhaling polyethylene dust is
           considered a nuisance.

Eye contact:

Vapor or mist irritates mucous membranes and the upper
           respiratory tract.

Ingestion:

           Nausea and vomiting

Chronic Health Effects Summary:

Allergic skin reactions may occur resulting in severe
           dermatitis conditions.

Conditions Aggravated by Exposure:

No known conditions are aggravated by this material.

Section 4: First Aid Measures

Take proper precautions to ensure your own health and safety before
attempting to rescue and providing first aid.

Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air. If breathing is difficult,
give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration
              and call physician immediately.

Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for 15 minutes.

Skin Contact: Immediately flush skin with copious amounts of water.

Ingestion: Call physician immediately.

Other: Prolonged exposure may cause narcotic effect.

Section 5: Fire Fighting Measures

NFPA Rating: Health: 0 Fire: 1 Reactivity: 0

Flammability classification:

         Not classified.

Flash Point/Method: 10°C (50°F)

Auto-Ignition Temperature: 434°C (815°F)

Flammable Limits: Lower: Not applicable
                   Upper: Not applicable

Toxic fumes of oxides of carbon.

Special Conditions to Avoid:

Keep away from light, heat, sparks and any other ignition sources.

Extinguishing Media:

Use dry chemicals, CO2, water spray. Use water spray to cool fire
exposed containers. Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and
          protective clothing.

Fire Fighting Instructions:

Protective Equipment/Clothing: Wear a NIOSH approved positive
pressure self-contained breathing apparatus and firefighter
          turnout gear.

Instructions: Use flooding quantities of water until well after
          fire is out.

Section 6: Accidental Release Measures

Release response:

Shut off all sources of ignition. Wear self contained
breathing apparatus, rubber boots and heavy rubber gloves.
Cover with an activated laboratory carbon absorbant, take
up and place in closed containers. Transport outdoors.
Ventilate are and wash spill site.

Section 7: Handling and Storage

Handling: Keep tightly closed and away from heat, sparks, open
flames and sources of ignition. Local exhaust
ventilation should be provided in work areas.

Storage: Keep container dry. Store away from excessive heat and
store refrigerated. Keep container closed to prevent
                     contamination.
