Flow point vs. Melting Point
We are still in the process of characterizing, from a solid state standpoint, whether the CrystalBond products are crystalline or amorphous or intermediate between the two.
For Crystalbond™ 509 we make the mistake of using flow temperature and melting point interchangeably. We have not measured the crystallinity of the material however we suspect that a faster cooling of the material will produce a slightly lower flow point and a slower cooling will produce a slightly higher flow point.
