There are some very good reasons why one might want to have some of these SEM mount adapter on hand just for that special instance that could arise where they could be really needed.

Use a standard Cambridge®/Leica®/LEO® pin-type mount in an ISI/Topcon® SEM.

This adapter permits one to take their already mounted and prepared samples, on normal "pin-type" mounts, of the "Cambridge/LEO/Leica" type, in SEMs manufactured by ISI/Topcon without further sample preparation.
