The "Mini-Comparator", while lower in price that most other magnifiers and comparators, is very accurate and is, like all other items offered by SPI, is a precision optical instrument despite its low price. Compared with some of our other magnifiers, the Mini-Comparator is smaller and more convenient for carrying around, both in and outside of the laboratory.

The doublet type achromatic lens displays an outstanding resolution with minimal distortion. The focussing function is smooth, the result of an innovative multiple-thread type screw design. Each unit comes with a scale (reticule) as standard, SPI #02238-YA, 0-20 mm scale (0.1 mm divisions).
