The PEAK Scale Magnifier with a 7X Quick-Change Reticle features a triple aplanatic lens with a 26 mm diameter visual field of view. The lens system provides a wide, flat, distortion-free field, especially important when accurately measuring micrographs and other flat views as maps and aerial photographs. The reticle is interchangeable with other reticles, but the magnifier comes with a "standard" reticle with scale markings. The product comes with just this one reticle in the product package and we can not substitute the reticle for some other reticle.
However, if you wish to have additional reticles, above and beyond the single one that comes with the magnifier, this same magnifier can also be ordered with a five reticle set. Note that this product can be ordered also as a 10X magnifier with a single standard reticle or as a 10X magnifier with 5 reticles set.
Note that some of our customers prefer the zoom magnifier for its ease of use.
The clear plastic piece onto which is screwed the reticle has a way of breaking, if the magnifier is dropped. We don't like to see our customers throwing away a perfectly good magnifier and purchasing a new one because replacement parts are not available. And that is why we offer the replacement plastic pieces. However note that unless you are a regular SPI Supplies customer, the minimum order that is applied to all orders might be much higher than the cost of the replacement plastic piece. Hence we suggest you consider purchasing a replacement piece at the time of initial purchase of the magnifier.
