The PEAK® Head Loupes are very lightweight and permit bright, wide and cubic views by two angle lenses fit precisely for the most comfortable (for the eyes) viewing. Both loupes fit the right over glasses, most prescription as well as most safety glasses. The loupe is easily attached and detached by a Velcro® strip and of course, permits the wearer to have complete hands-free operation. The magnification is 2.2X but the magnification can be increased to 3.3 X via the use of an accompanying additional lens.
Don't be confused with the nomenclature!
In many countries, this type of product is referred to as a "head loupe", including Japan, where it is manufactured. But in North America, for example, this product is called sometimes a "headband magnifier". Or even a "headband loupe". But no matter how it is described, it is really the same product!

Within the microscopy laboratory, the loupes are ideal for the close examination of specimens or even the micro-dissection of biological tissue. And both head loupes are well suited for uses in other areas as well, such as in photoengraving, photography, jewelry, precision polishing, just to name a few.

The lenses are optical quality acrylic plastic and therefore, only alcohol should be used for their cleaning. Most solvents would craze (e.g. whiten) the lens surfaces and therefore only alcohol should be used. We would in fact recommend the use of the SPI Lens Cleaning Tissues for the dry cleaning and wiping of the lenses
