A comment on spelling:
Some of us have grown up learning that it is spelled "coverslip" and yet others of us grew up believing these are to be spelled as "cover slips". We don't know for sure which is correct but both spellings seem to be in common usage. We will use both spellings on this page so that search engines can find it irrespective of how one does their spelling. We hope this is not confusing to anyone.......
The SPI Supplies microscope cover slips are physically flat, are corrosion resistant (yes, glass does corrode!) and are controlled for high uniformity in size and thickness.
By the piece or by the ounce?
Some parts of the world, and even some competitors offer cover slips by the ounce (oz.) instead of by the piece. We think this is confusing, and that most of our customers understand far better what they are purchasing if they are buying packs of 100 instead of so many ounces of a particular size cover slip. Therefore we offer cover slips only in packs of 100 and for those used to purchasing by the ounce, we give the conversion information for their convenience.
