For a reproducible and clean boat with plenty of room for large ribbons of sections, these molded plastic, disposable boats, in some parts of the world called "trufs" are ideal. They attach easily to the glass knife. These "trufs" are designed to be "chatter resistant" and are packaged 100 per box. You can pay more but you can not purchase a finer quality boat for glass knives.
Instructions for use:
The SPI Supplies boats fit cleanly and snuggly onto the back of the glass knife and makes for a perfect seal with our high quality dental wax (preferred) or black nail polish as an option. Generally speaking, superior results are obtained with a boat sized more for the glass being used rather than using a "one-size-fits-all" molded plastic boat.
