This page of the SPI Supplies website is devoted to the subject of ultramicrotomy, not the ultramicrotome itself, but the diamond knifes, and the products needed to care for an expensive high precision diamond knife. First and foremost we want to publicize the SPI Supplies® Brand of diamond knives.

User after use tells us that when it comes to sectioning and ease of use, no knife in the world is better than the SPI Supplies knives. Now we are not saying that the SPI Supplies knives are better than anyone else's, but we are saying that they are indistinguishable in performance from knives that seem to carry prices that are far higher. Of course, sophisticated customers realize that when the US dollar is low and European currencies are strong and high, what makes the European made knives more expensive has nothing to do with productions methods or manufacturing technology, it has only to do with exchange rates!
