This special chuck is precision machined from aluminum to within tight tolerances. It has been designed to hold all sizes of flat embedding blocks made from embedding molds offered by SPI Supplies and others. The chuck is designed to work with all Leica/Reichert and RMC ultramicrotomes. The jaws can be adjusted to accommodate virtually all thicknesses of (resin) blocks.
