The SPI Supplies Brand of resharpenable and retractable diamond scalpel blades are meant for the more serious user, one who will be making ongoing use of their diamond scalpel blade product and to the point that it could lose some of its sharpness and needs to be resharpened. The resharpening costs is far less than the cost of a new diamond scalpel blade. Plus when shipped back from SPI Supplies to our customer, if other items are ordered the incremental shipping charges are zero because of our flat rate shipping program.

Advantages of the retractable feature:
The diamond blade is a high precision and valuable item and should be protected. With the retractable feature, the delicate blade can be retracted into the barrel of the handle, eliminating the risk of accidental damage.

Available diamond cutting edges:
Each of the two handles is available in three different cutting edges, and one has a selection from six different diamond scalpel products. The three blades are described as 1) CC 3.0, 2) Tunnel 2.0 and 3) Trapazoid 1.0. The CC 3.0 refers to what is known to some as "clear cornea 3.0 mm width.
