The world has a number of different pump manufactures but we feature the two
we consider the very very best. These are pumps used to pump out high
vacuum systems and there is just no room for anything less than the best
that can be purchased.
For many years, only the pumps made by Edwards High Vacuum, Inc. were
offered by SPI Supplies. And to users of electron microscopes, nothing
could be better than an Edwards pump. But we feel that the Leybold pump is
at the very least, the equivalent to the Edwards pumps, and for some
capacities, the pricing is less. We feature the Leybold pumps with the SPI
Sputter Coaters and Plasma Etchers, but our customers will make the ultimate
decision as to which pump will be shipped with their equipment.
